Just Out

On March 18, MAC released the Raquel Welch line, according to The Province. The lipsticks retail for $16.50, while the eyeshadow runs a little more, at $42.50 each.

This is just the latest of innovations from MAC. As mentioned in earlier posts, they have teamed up with several "icons" to bring us the best products possible. To me, it is a great way for MAC to gain attention, not only from the media, but also from its everyday consumers!

The China Post reported that cosmetics sales are increasing due to the cosmetic industry catering to younger demographics. According to the article, the Barbie Loves MAC collection has really hit home with younger audiences.

MAC Teams Up Once Again

MAC Cosmetics is constantly finding ways to revamp its existing cosmetic line. On March 1, FabSugar.com reported that MAC was joining forces with international pop-star Paulina Rubio to introduce a new lipstick -- Rubia. This continues the trend within the MAC family of looking to outside personalities/icons to promote its products.

According to the article, MAC will introduce the golden, bright, metallic, matte lip color in stores, and online, March 20. To promote the release of the new lipstick, Paulina Rubio is scheduled to appear in L.A. at the MAC studio. Paulina reportedly told FabSugar that she thinks the lipstick will look sexy on all women!
