MAC Teams Up Once Again

MAC Cosmetics is constantly finding ways to revamp its existing cosmetic line. On March 1, FabSugar.com reported that MAC was joining forces with international pop-star Paulina Rubio to introduce a new lipstick -- Rubia. This continues the trend within the MAC family of looking to outside personalities/icons to promote its products.

According to the article, MAC will introduce the golden, bright, metallic, matte lip color in stores, and online, March 20. To promote the release of the new lipstick, Paulina Rubio is scheduled to appear in L.A. at the MAC studio. Paulina reportedly told FabSugar that she thinks the lipstick will look sexy on all women!

I think that's a really smart idea for MAC to get outside personalities representing certain colors. I know revlon does it with their spokeswomen, like Eva Longoria has her own lipstick shade. I know people that look up to her would probably go out and buy it so this is a definitely a new good way for MAC to make more money.

Also, I love Paulina Rubio, so I'm excited that MAC didnt get the biggest, money-making celebrity they could, but someone who is really talented. I love MAC :)
