MAC gives Donation to UNICEF

On March 29, UNICEF reported that MAC Cosmetics donated $129,000 to UNICEF-China to help fund "Unite for Children, Unite Against AIDS." This not only continues MAC's social initiatives in partnership with the MAC AIDS Fund, but it also shows MAC's desire and determination to serve the world-wide community.

According to the press center, MAC will join forces with UNICEF to launch a "The Ten Facts On AIDS" Campaign. The campaign will serve as an education tool enabling UNICEF to reach out to the young people of China. The campaign will feature topics such as, how to protect yourself, raising youth awareness and the importance of respecting those already infected with the disease.

THIS IS WONDERFUL!! Not only for MAC, but for the children benefiting from the campaign and the donation. This continues to prove MAC Cosmetics is not only committed to its brand, consumers and employees, but also to the community-at-large.

做得好! (Well done!)

I love the fact that MAC is so involved in AIDS awareness and education. Although the "helping those with AIDS and increasing awareness of this disease" concept has become an on-going trend, I do feel that these actions are truly felt and appreciated. Better to have to much help then none at all right? Great job on their part and congratulations for keeping it going strong and making a difference!
